Rhodes Pastoral grows a range of crops and grains – both for sale and for use in our own feed mixes – and their quality is proven in the health and well-being of our own livestock.
We are cropping around 4,800 ha annually, with canola and barley being a large percentage of our production.
Starting with developing the land, we manipulate our pastures and are continually reseeding the paddocks, along with superior fertilising and pasture rotation programs. We even replenish the seed stock every year with our own harvest grains.
In our finishing paddocks, we finish our lambs with our own mix specially developed from our own seed and grains – which has proven to be a key factor in their health, growth and the productivity we have reached.
Combined with the pure water and clean environment of our location, Rhodes Pastoral is able to produce crops and grain of the highest quality.
Our Products
- Feed Oats Proven in our own livestock, our feed oats are an excellent source of high fibre content and high percentage of husk.
- Milling Oats
- Feed Barley Rhodes produces large quantities of feed barley for sale to feed lotters.
- Malting Barley We grow standard malt varieties. Please contact our team to discuss your requirements.
- Canola Our canola grains have a high oil content thanks to the quality of our pastures. We also host local hives to increase yields.
- Lupins Ideal stock feed for the cattle, pig, poultry and aquaculture industries.
We also grow oats and lupins, rye grass hay/silage, oaten hay, rye grass seed and clover seed for reseeding of pastures into stubbles when returning cropping country to pasture.
