We here at Boree Park are delighted to welcome both new and returning people to this our 4^th on property sale here at Paringa Park.

Its been a good year for the sheep industry with both meat and fibre in high demand and prices reflective of that. The rising costs and availability of fertiliser and diesel at the start of the year made for some tough decisions in many operations and it was the livestock that really gave us something to smile about. With the red meat forecasts looking very good for the foreseen future there has never been a more important time to invest in the right genetics for your operation.

Starting in 2017 Boree Park was formed by the purchase of some elite ewes Millswyn stud in Victoria and Langley Heights in New South Wales. This enabled us to establish a stud tailored to breeding rams for our operations here at Rhodes Pastoral. In 2022, we the expanded further with the acquisition of Western Australia’s oldest white Suffolk stud Ida Vale.

This investment in top tier genetics has enabled us to offer high-calibre rams to the public, while retaining select animals for our own program. Our goal here is simply to breed structurally sound, paddock ready, highly fertile rams that deliver strong returns as quickly as possible. We focus a lot on data but the main drivers that never change are fat healthy lambs that grow and grow fast from the moment they hit the ground.

This means that each animal is individually benchmarked against tens of thousands of others, receiving rankings based on performance data. But numbers alone are not enough- every single ram that goes out the farm gate wearing a boree park eartag has passed multiple structural assessments and extremely thorough health tests. We stand by our product and our animals must both on paper and with physical integrity.

The future looks bright for the sheep industry and all of us here at Rhodes Pastoral will continue to push forward with our goals of producing the best animals possible.

Early inspections are most welcome.  Please feel free to contact our Stud Principal Michael Potter or Farm Manager Michael Wright to discuss your seed stock requirements for this upcoming season.
